Our district governor can best be described in two words - versatile and accomplished. Her various achievements are impressive in a way that most of these largely speak of selfless endeavors and not of personal triumph.
She is married to the late Dr. Pedro T. Abalos, a past president and a former GSE team leader. They have six children and eight grandchildren.

She served in the government sector as Chairperson of the Cagayan de Oro City Tourism Board. She is affectionately known as the indefatigable fairy godmother in the beauty pageantry, being the lead organizer of the Miss Cagayan de Oro for several years until 2006.
In business, she is currently the president and chairman of the board of the Cagayan de Oro Medical Center. She is also the president and chairman of the board of the family-owned Abalos Golden Eagle International, Inc., vice president of both the Puerto de Oro Corporation and the Mindanao Health Care, corporate secretary of Golden Eagle Financial Corporation and Alrose Financial Services.

In the Rotary world, she was the first lady Rotarian admitted to the Rotary Club of West Cagayan de Oro. Her fellow Rotarians saw her hard work and dedication and elected her the first lady president of the same club in RY 1996-1997. In the district she served in various capacities as Assistant Governor, member of the district training team, chairman of several committees, DISCON chairman, group discussion leader, member of a GSE team among others.
